The Research Center for Energy, Informatics and Materials (ICEIM) was founded in 1986 by Jordan Pop-Jordanov, with the aim to initiate, coordinate and perform fundamental and applied research in certain priority areas from its domain.
The name of the Center was changed in 2014 to Research Center for Energy and Sustainable Development.
