Dr. Natasa Markovska

Natasa Markovska holds DSc degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Skopje, with thesis on solar energy technologies. At present she is a Professor and a Senior Researcher at the Research Centre for Energy, Informatics and Materials of the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ICEIM-MANU) and a member in the following international and national professional bodies: EU FP7 Energy Programme Committee, EC Steering Group of Human Resources and Mobility (SGHRM), EU FP7 National Contact Point for Energy, National Focal Point of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and chairs the National Committee on Climate Change. She has been participating in numerous international and national projects related to renewable energy sources and energy efficiency, energy strategic planning, environment, particularly climate change, as well as mobility of researchers. In these fields, Dr. Markovska authored/co-authored over 100 published contributions (11 in SCI/CC journals). She also served as an editor of the Second National Communication under UNFCCC, as well as a guest editor of the special issues of the international journals “Energy” (Elsevier) and “Management of Environmental Quality (MEQ)”, dedicated to the 7th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy Water and Environmental Systems - SDEWES 2012.
